Spring Appliances
There are numerous designs of springs for use with removable orthodontic appliances. At Archform we can produce any type of spring appliance, including;
• “Z” springs (various): for one or more teeth
• “T” springs: mostly individual tooth movement
• Finger springs: the most commonly used to move teeth distally and close spaces
Buccal retractor
Usually for canine retraction.
Coffin spring
Used for arch expansion, more flexible than a screw appliance.
Self straightening wire
Used to retract anteriors with the added advantage of a Hawley retainer being in use when the springs have been removed.
Roberts retractor
Used to retract anteriors which may be extremely proclined.
